Your Privacy Matters

Vesumi is built on trust. We believe your story belongs to you — and your data does too. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our platform.

1. What We Collect

  • Name, email, and contact info
  • Videos and profile content you create
  • Technical info like device/browser and usage patterns
  • We use OpenAI as a data processor to provide AI-driven features. OpenAI only processes your data on our behalf and under strict security and privacy rules

  • To help you showcase your story through video
  • To generate personalized feedback (if AI is enabled)
  • To provide support and improve the platform

3. Visibility & Control

You control the visibility of your videos. By default, your video presentations are public and visible to verified recruiters on Vesumi. You can choose to make your videos private at any time in your account settings. When private, your videos are only visible to you and anyone you explicitly share them with (e.g., via a direct link).

4. AI + Analysis

If you use Vesumi's AI feedback, we may analyze your video content and transcripts to give you suggestions on confidence, clarity, or tone. This data stays private to you unless you choose to share it.

5. Third-Party Data Processors

To deliver Vesumi’s core services, we rely on trusted third-party service providers who store or process your data on our behalf. These providers are bound by strict confidentiality and security obligations and only process your data in accordance with our instructions. Supabase (Backend & Data Storage) We use Supabase as our backend infrastructure provider. Supabase stores and manages: -Your account information (e.g., name, email, password) -Data you submit or generate on Vesumi (e.g., waitlist signup, user profile details) -Technical logs and authentication activity Supabase encrypts your data in transit and at rest, and only authorized personnel can access it. They operate under a GDPR-compliant Data Processing Agreement and use secure hosting infrastructure with appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses and a UK Addendum for international transfers. OpenAI (AI-Powered Features) We use OpenAI’s API to deliver Vesumi’s AI features, such as: -Transcribing your video or audio content -Generating feedback on tone, delivery, or clarity -Converting your responses into readable scripts (e.g., VesuScript) When you submit a video or text for analysis, the content may be sent temporarily to OpenAI's servers for processing. OpenAI acts as a data processor under our instructions and does not use your data for model training. Data is deleted from their systems automatically after a short retention window (typically 30 days), unless otherwise required for operational integrity. OpenAI operates under a Data Processing Agreement that includes GDPR-compliant safeguards and Standard Contractual Clauses for any international transfers.

5. Data Retention for Inactive Accounts

To comply with data minimisation best practices, we may delete inactive free-tier accounts after 6 months of inactivity. Inactive accounts are defined as those with no logins or content updates during this period. We will notify you via email at least 14 days before deletion, giving you the option to retain your account or export your data.

6. Cookies

We use cookies to help us understand how people use Vesumi — things like page views or clicks. You can turn cookies off in your browser if you'd prefer.

7. Your Rights

You can view, edit, or delete your data at any time. You also have the right to close your account and have all personal information removed. Just email us at admin@vesumi.com.
